Angry Defected Car Please help

Hey Guiys just need a little help. My car was resently defected for the 2nd time in 2 weeks for being too low. I have gone ahead and put my standard springs and now my car looks like a Monster truck lol. I am not happy wuith doing it but i want the police off my back.

My question is when i taqke my car to vicroads to get the defect cleared how well do they look at your car? I have a major defect so i am told they will have to look at the car to clear it.

Has anyone experienced this in the past? i just want to know how well they look at the car so I know what I can and cant get away with HeHe. i was done for horn not working, ground clearance and suspension to be raised.

any help ASAP would be great
Thanx
G4orce

im sure u have to get a whole new roady... but not 100% on that bit. PM vrslt323 he has had a few in his time....

But i dont think they look over it. another mate of mine had to get the canary off, and all vic roads did was jsut check to make sure his lights work.

You need to get a whole new roady.

Vic roads may inspect the car to see if the VIN and engine No# matches that on Roady.

They usually wont inspect the defected item as no mechnic with a road worthy licence should pass a defectable car. They would be double handling there own systems. They trust who they give liceneces too.

aZk.

out of interest, how low is your car? Have you got pics?

It's a very nice looking ride. Don't you have the same laws as us must be 100mm off the ground at all spots. Basically must be able to fit a coke can all the way around.

Don't know how they do things up your way, but here its 100mm. Coke can means jack ****, especially since they are 130mm tall.

AFAIK, i think the rule is that the lowest part of your car has to be 100mm from the ground, so like, even if you can fit a coke can under the car, if there is a part of your car that protrudes lower than the rest of the car, it must be able to fit under that.

Yeah car has to be 100mm off the ground at the lowest point. I just got down because my rear muffler was just under 100mm, i also got done because my horn was not working.

All good niow I go the defect removed before the The rego got suspended so all is good that way lol. I got a every little thing fixed because I was told vicroads inspect your car with a major defect and when I went in there they did not even look at my car HaHa. So just for people in the same situation as me there you go and maybe even just go towards the end of the day or when its real busy so they told have time to even look at it
Thanx for all the help

My Car is a darker blue colour and It has Darkest Legal tint. It was too low, but only just and thats where they got me.

CHEFAI- Thats gotta suck. I was expecting for a full inspection because thats what i was told would happen, but I was also told to go closer to the end of the day and they will try to get out of checking it. I guess its probably different at every place as well.
