Hey guys looking at getting a supercharged 6 or if worse comes to worse just a N/A V6 ecotec. just wondering what K's should i be looking at for say a VT/VX that should be good to run for a few years without any major work on it?
Regards
If you take care of it, it should last up to or above 300,000km without needing much work. I've heard of some ecotecs getting to 300,000km no worries. This is on VS's that have had a bit more time on the road to clock up the k's.
On a VT/VX though, anything under 150,000 would be considered pretty low (more so for a VT). 180,000km is about average for a 2000 model, so if you aim lower than that you should get something in good condition.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people
Yeah i agree, anything with 80 000 - 150 000, should be ok, though in saying that you could get something with 80 000, thats not of been serviced and been trashed, that will have more problems than one with 200 000, thats been looked after and serviced etc, also with the super 6 be careful because cause most young people, trash them around, same with a manual NA commodore..
btw good luck mate, theres plent around so dont rush into buying the first one you see..
Thanks for the comments guys, I've actually been looking for a few months now just that i dont quite have the money yet so im using this time just to look at each car indvidually. Any more opinions are welcome.
