I paint VIP corporate and commercial airplanes for a well known company based in Brisbane, I thought id put an offer out to people in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area interested in getting paint work done on their cars. Just want to know if there’s any interest.
Not really interested in doing whole cars, more small parts, engine covers body-kits, bonnets, spoilers etc. Any colour, any pearl/metallic. I've got start of the art computer colour matching (NOT the one they use at bunnings...) at my disposal. Custom airbrushing maybe available at a later date as I have a guy in mind, just have to ask.
All the paints used are top shelf. Although at the end of the day it’s your car and if you want dulux wash and wear on it..... Ill put it on, ill just die a little inside lol
As for pricing, basically you purchase the paint and consumables and I supply the labour and a facility. Of coarse prices will vary due to the size, detail and extras you want
Cheers, Ill post some more pictures of some of my artwork as I like to call it later when i've got some more time.
Wow what an influx lol![]()
Man seriously I wish you're here in Vic. I need my front bumper and bonnet resprayed. Thanks to trucks flicking stones at my car on the highway the other day!
crap I was up your way 2 weeks ago for 3 weeks and I need the front spoiler done
Is there a demand down there is there?
I know what you mean mate. i just did my front bar again, HUNDREDS of really bar stone chips, it brings the whole car down! came out mint in the end and changed the whole car, kicking myself i hadn't done it sooner.
Is it really that hard to get things painted down south? I'd love to help, but there's the logistical issue.![]()
awesome, i need a few bits and pieces done man. ive been wanting to take off the door moulds on my VS and replace them with some new calais ones painted white. also wanted the door handles painted white and possibly the bonnet and front bar resprayed as they are scratched/chipped.
any idea of a rough price for this all to be done? it would all just be in the same colour (no two tone front bar), which is whatever the factory white was for a VS.
oh, and would you be able to do any fibreglassing? my rear bar has a crack on the mounting point at the wheel arch which i want to have fixed too.
Quagmire: My fellow Americans, I have not been entirely truthful with you. I did gagoogidy that girl. I gashmoygadied her gaflavity with my googus. And I am sorry.
ah k, my paint code is JO64. basically i just want the door moulds taken off, which you'll see in the attached pic - then some new VS calais moulds (which are wider and flatter, and ive already got these) painted white and put on. ontop of that i want to have the door handles painted white...then if i got enough dosh left over possibly the bonnet and front bar resprayed.
you cant see the scratches on the bonnet and front bar in pics (being a white car) so its hard to show what they are like, but they arent that bad, im just picky.

I am in NSW, but let's suppose I can get my car to you....and seeing that we are supposing, let suppose further you would agree to paint my entire car. Any ideas how long that would take and what it would cost? Feel free to drop me a line via private message on this forum. I damn sure wish you were in NSW.

Nice lookin car!!
Pretty straight foward. You could save same money by taking the attached door moulds off yourself, It'll be easier and better to paint the calais ones off aswell. Not sure if there attached by clips or glued on?
Again if you want to save same money i could only do the top of the bonnet? How bad are the stone chips on the front bar? i cant open the front view pic.
Door handles are easy, again better if there taken off. Better finish. upto you as it'll be off the road longer cus i have to mask everything off.
Ill PM you my work address and mobile. Come around and ill be able to have a proper look.
Cheers

Ay mate, there alot involved if you want to do it properly. Taking everything off and i do mean everything. All the lights, door trims everything. I Usually leave the doors on cus there a bitch to align again once there back on. Im only interested in doing parts atm cus there quick and dont require the amount of materials that a full car does. Just masking one up take ages lol Im doing this in my spare time at work so it would literally take weeks to paint. I'd love to help but i just cant atm. Hey if it all picks up i might start a business then you can bring it up.![]()
cheers man, ive got your pm, so ill get back to you when i got a day off to drop over for you to have a look.
i could take the moulds off, no dramas, just the sikaflex/urethane crap underneath it thats the worry...its a bit tricky to get off, lol.
i got brand new VS calais moulds from holden, ready for prep and paint which ill just put back over where the original moulds where, so i could even just drop them and the door handles off to you or something with the fuel cap to colour match off.
anyway, we'll work out something after you've taken a look and go from there.

To easy, I may have some stuff here at work that can get the sikaflex off. Yeah no worries, dont mind doing it in sections either, moulds + door handles now, bonnet and front bar later. The colour code will give me exactly that paint. but just for security drop the fuel cap off aswell. just make sure ya fuel cap is lockable so no pinches your fuel lol
Just an update. I now have a sign writer and photographer available as well as my painting services.
With the sign writer he is an absolute freak in making any decal or print. He uses A1 class materials that last for a guaranteed 3 years. We use him for our decals on our aircraft and has never failed us.
As with the photographer, I thought seeming as Christmas is coming up it would be a great gift idea![]()
Just let me know if you’re interested in any of these 3 services. Im still waiting for the airbrush guy to get back to me.
More services might be available later. Eg, Welding, including aluminium and stainless welding. Custom engineering including metal fabrication. I just need a show of interest for people for them to become available.
Cheers

So you're at the goldcoast? I'm not far from there, but i do have a front, rear, and side skirts to be painted. How long would it take to get something like this done
I personally live on the gold coast, but my work is in Archerfield near brissy. atm im flat out at work so I cant do it right now and to help the cause even more, they might be shutting the place down due to rent or some **** so its all up in the air atm. I'll let you know anyway. It might be a week or two before I find out if I have a job or not... lol
