    Question Lifting Muffler

Hey guys as some of you might know I was defected for being too low. My car was just under legal height at the mufflers. Now my question is can the mufflers be lifter higher so that i do make legal height? If it can be done what is involved in doing it and if i was to go to a shop what would it cost me?
    Thanx for the help

You can only lift it as high as the floor will allow. Easiest way is to bend the hanger brackets on the mufflers down, so that they pull the muffler up. Or do what Stupa said. We used to put it up on a hoist, put a stand under the muffler, let the hoist down until the muffler hit the floor of the car. Heated the pipes up either side of the muffler and then lifetd the hoist up again. 9 times out of 10 it would work.
