ok as the tittle says does anyone know if the offset between vz and ve rims are the same? also if the rims have been machined correctly is there a chance of the wheels falling off, ie hubs are different diameter, that ive heard about

im thinking of buying sv6/ss rims to put on my wagon, what do you guys reckon

been running mine now for almost 20 000km, been on some bumpy roads too :yeah:

Havent had one issue yet, except people asking me how did I manage to fit VE rims onto a VZ.

FYI mine were fitted by the dealer and purchased from that company.

Their the $1915 - Falken 235/40ZR18 (95Y) FK452 tyres. option thats listed.

Good overall tyre, no real tyre noise, good grip

And personally I reckon they'd look good on your wagon. People comment on how good they look on my Acclaim, but its also helped by the FE2 suspension so it also sits a tad lower.

Im told FE2 because its built to NSW Police Spec, but the springs and shocks look to me like King Springs or similar.

The problem is it was stationed in remote outback NSW, so it needed to be optioned with a suspension package that could withstand the tough outback dirt and tar roads while giving the car stability at high speeds, so I dunno what its got.

Havent had a good look at it, so I'll stick with saying FE2 and leave it at that :D

whoah, that looks better than id imagine, thanks for the pics,

i quiried the fellas a wheel king and got this reply re offset/hubs sizes/wheels falling off

''Basically, VE wheels taken straight of a VE will not fit onto earlier model Commodores. Tyres are too big, bore hole smaller and the nuts & nut covers are also different. We have the bore hole machined and then supply with the correct size tyres and correct factory nuts & nut covers. Offset is identical and the small amount machined out of the centre bore does not compromise the integrity of the wheel. If you have heard of machined wheels falling off VN-VZ Commodores, that could be a consequence of incorrect nuts being used. This topic is covered as well as clearly demonstrated on our website in the “Announcements” section. I have included the relative web link below."
