i've listened to a few cams on ls1.com.au and youtube etc but none seem as balanced if that masks sense.

All the other ones their idle is really random, this one doesnt.

im planning on putting a harrop m122 blower on top but i want a better breathing engine before i do

hahah yeah i dont want a massive idle out of it, want to benifits of a cam but not where the engine sounds like its going to explode. I just liked that one, bit loud put it seemed well balanced/tuned.

even if you get the exact same cam it might not sound the same cause the entire engine effects the sound, right from the intake through to the tip on your exhaust. also a cam that works well for a n/a application is maybe not the best for use with a blower

The stall converter on autos also has a big impact of the sound at idle. This sounds a little like my ss at idle but it sounds like hes running a stainless system. If your going to run a blower there will be no need for a cam that aggressive. All your boost will be wasted out the exhaust because of the valve overlap the cam will have. Just get a cam that has higher lift with minimal valve overlap. It may sound a little more lumpy but not like that.

so a mild cam is better for a blower application rather then a massive one?
