So, it is a number's job on the car currently for sale, with the engine from the first car swapped in and the rest disappearing into the ether of spare parts?

Pretty brazen if the dealership sticker on the front apron is genuine, as that could be something that the (true) owner could use to ID it.

The car itself probably has done 208 000kms, he never says it's the original motor. He never says it's a rebuild either.

I'm interested to know why you think it's a chop shop job? A chop is building a car from two wrecked halves, ie: weld the front of a rear ender to the rear of a front ender. This is the original car, just refurbished. He is a bit misleading in his descriptions though.

I dont see anything that majorly wrong, just looks like hes taken a 3 grand car polished it up given the engine a bit of paint and is selling it for double the price. He picked it up bloody cheap a rebuilt rb30t. But yeah this sounds a bit dodgy to me.

It didn't have a blown motor...read a version that has been re-written.

NOTE: I HAVE NOT HAD THE TIME TO WASH THE CAR . A GOOD BUFF AND BOB YOUR UNCLE. UNFORTUNATELY I BOUGHT THE CAR A FEW YEARS AGO AND LOST MY LICENCE WHILE IT HAD A BLOWN MOTOR. THIS MOTOR STILL HAS NOT BEEN RUN IN(refer to reco motor in title), SO I SUGGEST THE PERSON WHO BUY'S IT WILL TAKE CARE OF IT THIS IS A REGRETFUL SALE AND I HAVE TO SELL AS I AM UNDER PRESSURE TO GET IT OUT OF THE HOUSE. NEEDS 4 NEW TYRES FOR REGO AND THATS IT, IT DOES NEED A BLUE SLIP WHICH WONT BE DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN AT ALL.

I see no issue with this car to be honest. It's been bought and refreshed, dealers do this all the time.

Its actually a nice tidy looking VL, It's the kind of car I'd buy for a bit of fun.

its not a chop shop job at all, about the only thing he may be doing wrong, as others have said, is be misleading.

be careful what you say about people and or companies on the internet, especially car forums, as these people quite often are either on them or have someone they know on them, saying the wrong thing or purely assuming can be called defamation and worse case senario, you can end up in court over it if they feel like it ( and find you that is )

From seeing 1 ebay ad its hard to tell, but yeah now seeing the others its pretty dodgy.

You really need to do your homework when buying from anyone so some of these people he has allegedly ripped off may just be bitter because they didn't do their homework before buying from him
