Hey everyone, went to peddars today to get a price on lowered suspension and the showed me what it would look like on the comp, i got a price on the peddars sports ryder and then a price on the sports ryder extreme (coil overs),
which would be better for my vy ss? struts and springs and rear shocks and springs lowered bout an inch all round over the factory fe2 or go for the coil overs and can i put coil overs all round?
which would be better for drivability and all up?
will do more day to day driving than any track work maybe once or twice a year.
the coil overs are adjustable and double the price though, they said there a lot better and can adjust to the hight u want, and can buy parts u need to replace rather than a whole strut etc, they siad they ride alot better 2.
any help appreciated, thank u,
Ben.
These were from a ute but is any of it any good to you?

I'd probably look at some more premium suspension companies rather than Pedders.
Tein as minux said, or noltec or one of many other companies out there.
They were on my ute for around 10,000k, as for price, you know what they would cost new so feel free to make me an offer... Remember these have been sitting in my garage for almost a year. You might be able to get a bargain and I might be able to get some space in my shed.
I have pictures if you would like?
Few links from distributors.

If you are interested in premium coilovers, (and especially if you do want to track it) then I'd be skipping cheap/****ty Teins, and going straight for something like DMS:
Drummond Motor Sport - Not All Shock Absorbers are Created Equal
Just the 40mm shocks are MORE than enough for most street and track cars, and you can specify what ever spring rate you want, and adjust both the bump and re-bound separately to suit. There's no chance in a road car you'll damage or break them, which is more than can be said about most G4/D2 or even Teins ...
Let me know if you're interested and I'll grab a price. As I said, if you are after a premium shock, and am prepared to spend a grand and a bit more than Tein, then that's what I'd be recomending...

Greg

i run bilstein shockers in my V8 (although not coil over...yet) and they are great. very very (read hard) firm at legal road speeds but at 200km/h+ for track work they absorb bumps like their not there. shock are fully rebuildable also although the particular ones i have aren't adjustable externally
