Pressure pack spray paint is paint in a pressurised can. It is normally prepacked in a variety of colours, but can be mixed and put into a spray can by most auto paint stores. The quality of the job is substandard on a large panel because of the spray pattern of the nozzle and the inconsistent pressure of the can. Good for small touch up jobs, not so good for a complete panel. Prepping and finishing is the same as for paint from a gun.
ok thank's so im better off pulling the compressor out buying a high pressure spray gun and doing that way? maybe do the whole car
with mettalic paint do you have to mix the mettalic flake's in yourself?

It's not that high pressure, around 40 psi if memory serves. Some paints you mix the flakes in, some you don't. Depends on the colour, if you are going a custom colour, or one that isn't metallic, you have to put them in.
You seem pretty new to all this, no offence but are you sure you really want to spray your car yourself?
i know how to spray evenly (i was a house painter for 4 year's) and i'm dam good with a spray can
i just dont know much about car paint and the prep work invloved for metal
i understand i need to bog up dent's and what not sand it back a bit, spray with primer(enough light coat's to cover properly),light sand, couple of top coat's with light sanding in between then a fair few coats of clear. do i need to sand between clear coat's?

prep work is the key to a good paint job...
fix the dents with a dent repair kit... lol bog is dodgy...
strip any flakey paint or paint that had cracks in it... it needs to go back to bare metal u cant just put down some high fill primer and hope for the best..
make sure u prep it and block it down properly ... use a guide coat when doing it so u know where u have been...
if u prep it properly u dont sand in between top coats..
and also if u paint with a solids most of the time u dont need to clear it..unless its like a 2 pack designed for a gloss coat
mettalics and all that u need to clear it...
layng odwn the clear is probably the hardest part to master...
and by the questions your askin i would suggest painting in acrylic becasue its alot easier to repair if u get a run or a bit of dirt in it while ya painting it![]()
