just got a new vs and the power steering seems to make a bit of noise when a turn...i'm assuming its the power steering pumps, i've heard it's a common problem...its not going to **** it's self on me isn't it?
not for a while... mine's been doin it for ages, i just havent had the time to get it serviced. go get it serviced and all should be good... and also make sure there is enough fluid, i know it sounds stupid but thats the most often reason for the noise
If the fluid level is OK, then it will be the vanes in the pump. A recon pump or if you are handy, you can rebuild it yourself. Around $80 for a rebuild kit which comes with the vanes and seals.

You can't. The edge of the vane is in contact with the housing, turning it around won't do anything.

Im a bit lazier I bought a reco for $90.00 off national power steering in dandenong (but I do know the guy there)
$90 for a full reco? That is cheap. Even if you do know the guy there.
