how the hell do these pins come out, spent all after noon hitting the ****ers with the door pin remover but they still arent coming out, they are rusted so that might make it harder. Any tips/ methods?
They should come out easy . Their made of spring steel with a groove down the middle .
Spray them with WD-40 or similar product . The top pin comes out through the bottom of the hinge and, the bottom from the top . I just used an old drill bit and a hammer .
Just protect your eyes if you do it this way though.
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
well finally got them out, thanks anyway mate
with a VS, is it neccesary to remove the fron fender to get access to the front door pins?
No, but the the tool designed for the job makes it easier.
The pins can have grooves worn into them and taking the weight off the pins by supporting the doors on a chassis stand under the lower edge can make it easier to get them out. (Use tape on the stand to avoid paint damage).
