Seeing as it sold it would have sold for a fair bit more than 3 grand by the looks. Someone paid too much.

There were V6 SS commodores, but I thought they all went to NZ?

Yes there real (although you wouldn't think one that was racing would be in such good condition)

There was also V6 VP Clubsports sent to NZ ( i think it was clubbies, might have even been SSs aswell)

There was also VT SS Super6's, just for info on a non V8 SS.

Interesting, considering GTS first appeared on VP Commodores, even for export models.

The 5.7 is the only thing that cuts it in the VT, the NA 6, Super 6 and 5 LTR are about as sluggish as a garbage truck. Stock that is, ive seen some pretty decent VT SS Super 6's, but the amount of money that has gone into them is rediculous.

My question is, why on earth would they use a V6 SS for racing?

I remember a thread on here about a VN GTS V6 in NZ, but I think it was just like a dealer special... i.e. GTR.

i saw a vt ss s/c v6 at a car dealer a few years back, i flipped out, never seen or heard of it b4, then i checked it out and asked some ppl and it was a genuine factory ss s/c v6 i didn't know what to say or think. 5.7 ltr in vt much better for that heavy body, i wouldn't want to drive my vy with out the 5.7 ltr in it.

Could have been racing in a V6 Class only, in which can thats probably not a bad thing (being a light car and all)

yeah we've established there just dealer packs, not like the HSV Clubby that was exported with a V6.
