Stolen 1994 VR SS

hi i wasnt sure where to post this so i figured id put it here if its not the right place just move it or remove it and let me know where to put it. earlyer in the week my 94' VR SS got stolen. i was selling it to a guy in sydney and had it transported there. I was expecting the payment on monday and he was stuffing me around all day. i got a call from the truck driver early tuesday morning telling me that the place he droped it off at a) wasn't the place i specified and b) the guys that were there were rather large people that he wouldnt want to mess with (had to remove some words as they were offencive and raceist). I had the car listed on carsales.com.au and thats how hte guy got my contact info. i have been to the police about it but there isnt much they can do as it was a civil agreement and only for $5,000. i was hoping to post it up here in the for sale section but cant now but i wish i had. anyway this is basicaly a warning that this is happening and if you are selling a car be very careful who you deal with.

wow, my car wouldnt be leaving the driveway with out a deposit (only people i know) or full payment to someone i dont know. anything else there to too much risk, what about your insurance?

Nah admitedly i was realy stupid in that i didnt get a deposit. the insurance wont cover it coz they sed coz i sent it it cant be consider stolen for a week or sumfin.

**** thats no good so is their any chance of getting it back cos they wouldnt be able to register it cos dont u have to hand the papers over or sumthing

listen i know it was stupid but its to late now. im crently going through the courts to try and get the money back.... id rather have the money then the car (if its still in one peice) but we will have to wait and see.

Thats such a **** of a act, id be phoning a few mates if the authority proves useless and going around kitted up to the gills to forcefully retake ownership. I get ripped off 500 bucks on ebay and im swinging to the other side of the country to retrieve it, 5k i would be definately be going in a bit heavier handed.

yea trust me im thinkin bout it but at the moment i only got 3 mates on board and we gotta sort out a time coz i work a heap and so do they. apparently the guy had 5 mates with him wen he got it off the truck so i dunno.

Hell yeah i got ripped a grand on a VL i brought over from Adelaide i went back there and made the person give me a refund through force. Wish Burn Notice had been on earlier, that show gave me ideas :P
