Default Low, Super Low, Super super low..... How the **** is one to know?

Can anybody tell me, or point me in the direction of what the actual definitions of the above actually are. The VP beast is currently sitting on std FE2 springs and I want to lower just slightly - 1" should do it. My problem is any charts I have found say that the springs are XXX lower. Lower than what??? Standard? In which case, how much lower is FE2 than standard?

You get my point. Any and all help appreciated

Basic rull of thumb (for kings springs anyway)

    FE2 = L
    20mm lower = SL
    another 20mm lower = SSL
yet ANOTHER 20mm lower = SSSL

    Hope that helps abit...

Wogstar is right on the money though, SL should give you what your after...

Option 2 obiviously been to get the FE2's reset to the exact height you want... but i thing the SL's will be juuuuuust right

Are the spring rates the same between V6/V8 or are all kings the same?

sssl are ment only for show cars thou arnt they? well "legally" anyways. The cars like a ants dick from the ground. I dunno about the sedans, but in the utes if you go any more then sl you cant use the tray, the tyres scrub... so why have a ute

but he has a vp sedan, totally different to the vt-vz. sssl doesnt sit that low to the ground.

    go the supers.

fe2 is roughly 20-30mm lower than standard height.

yeah i was just sayin why have a ute when you cant use it lol i remember seeing somewhere that they wernt legal for road use, think i was actually on the king springs website. Each S/L = 1"? ie SL is 2" lower then what you have now? but i guess as you said its different for the front. Im getting some SL all round soon in my car which some how brings the car level :S

It will change with different spring manufacturers as well, what is super low in Kings may be low in Peddars, or sports low in Lovells. (Example)

When you go to SSL in Kings, they become HD and progressive, mostly.

I'll be looking at getting super lows for the front and ssls on the back of my VS. any ideas how this will go with the SS kit currently on my car, is anything likely to scrape over speed bumps, steep driveways etc?

edit: what else do I need to do when lowering? Just looking at replacing the rear shocks with shorter ones, will this be fine? If not just stick with the super lows all round and shorter shocks in the rear?
