New Leather Interior

Anyone know how much it would cost to get the seats in an SV6 retrimmed in leather and who could do it for me or where I could find a written off car with leather seats that the wrecker would sell to me??????

I rekon you would be hardpressed to find some good leather seats at a wreckers. Best bet would be to contact a local upholster, any regular one should be able to do it, or atleast point you in the right direction to a auto trimmer. For leather im guessing it will cost around the 700 dollar mark if not more.

If thats a bit expensive, there are people on ebay that sell leather seat covers that ive heard good things from and there is always the chance of finding some on various Commodore forum for sale sections.

Dare i say though, finding some second handies from a VZ will be a bit of a task seeing as they are pretty new.

^^^ as he said it will be hard findin secondhand ones. if i were u i wld check at the commodore wreakers or look in tha trading post, newspaper. ppl have crashes all tha time so jus hope its a vz wit leather seats lol

u can usualy come accross some leather seats on ebay from time to time... but u could probably get em trimed fairly cheap at any local apolsterer srry bout the spelling

where are you located? $700 is way under, if you want seats and doors done expect around $2000+ for decent material. depends on the cow As vldavo said, i've seen a couple go off on ebay, people selling parts from a write-off. maybe upgrade the fronts seats, why limit to just sv6 ones

im sure it wouldn’t cost much to get some custom stitching of the SV6 logo. If you get them retrimmed they'd be able to do it while its getting some new skin

they look pretty good! i woudnt mind getting seat covers for mine. mainly just to protect the original leather

So how does it actually work? are they just fitted covers? how do they get them to look so tight? I assume that they just fit over the original seats. So theres no need to start pulling foam n **** out?

Looks like you have to remove the cover from the seats first. I might stich it to make it as a tight fit anway

After reading it it seams that they actually replace you exsisting material... its a full retriim bascially!

full retrim for 390 or so! thats pretty good if you ask me good for cars that want the leather look without having to spend the $$$'s. Plus custom stiching that can be done aswell. Good value if it lasts long

I've been looking at these on ebay... i am looking forward to saying goodbye to my green SS interior and going for black seat covers. If anyone has done it or is about to do it be sure to keep us informed =)
