    Default Exhaust for my VS

    Hey guys. Looking at getting a lukey exhaust system; headers, 2.5" catback, etc, with a straight through rear muffler.

    A few questions;

    the straight through rear muffler, is this just a straight pipe through a muffler, without the muffler affect? My vs current has the bottom of the rear muffler cut out, with stock exhaust system, (DIY angle grinder job - doesn't sound bad), so basically I just want to make it a bit louder and less dodgy.

    What would I expect to pay for the full lukey exhaust system with a chrome 2.5" tip, fully installed?

    cheers.

    a straight through muffler is a straight pipe with heaps of holes in it running through the mufflers' shell which is packed with fibreglass. the tend to get louder with age as the fibreglass burns off and because of their unbaffled flow they can also drone a little if the setup isnt right.
    price...i dunno, depends where you live, a ball park would be $1k for lukey extractors and catback fitted. if you wanted to replace the y-piece and cat it would be more again.

    hmm, that pricing makes me wonder if i should skip the headers and just go without a rear muffler and a 2.5" catback redback exhaust. I've read this may sound droney but I don't think that will bother me, I just want that beastilly sound as I accelerate.

    edit: or resonator.

    this should give it that beastily sound I'd want, possibly with or without the drone (auto), for around $300-400 as a good estimate?
