Hi all, looking at getting a redback 2.5" with chrome tip later this week. Has anyone else had this done, what did you pay and where? Cheers
How handy are you with a spanner? Fitting the VS system is very easy, 2 bolts on the cat and a clamp at the tail pipe. I can do you a Manta mandrel bent 2 1/2" cat back including tip for $230. I don't fit though.
how does the exhaust sound in comparison to the redback, equally, similarly beasty? I am quite handy with a spanner but that is probably the extent of my skills haha.
also can you set up the system without the rear muffler and resonator? I'll weld those on as to appear legal at a later date.
It sounds very similar to a Redback, it is pretty much an identical system. The system has a front straight through front muffler and no rear resonator.
ok, sounds good mate, I'm assuming it will be pretty loud. Whereabouts is your store located, and will Friday morning be a good time to come and grab it off you? Cash/eftpos preferred?
Edit: Appears you may be located in bunbury? Postage?
whats the x-force system like 2.5" mandrel cat back stainless compared to the redback and manta 2.5" mandrel systems for a gen3 5.7ltr vyss?
i'm keen on the x-force system in stainless but still trying to work out which will sound and be better price wise, i'll be bolting either one up myself as i'm in the automotive trade, thanks.
which either system i get will be backing up a set of pacemaker tri-y's and 2.5" hi-flow cats, with a otrcai and mafless tune after fitting of course, once i get it all and bolt it together.
I'm not a fan of X-Force, cheap, tinny, not a very good sound IMO. Some people like them.
Victimiza, yes I'm in Bunbury. I'm actually planning to get up to Perth on Friday anyway, a few things I need to get. I can drop it off for you if you like. Otherwise, you can do a direct deposit and pick up the parts yourself from the warehouse.
i am a very satisfied customer, the exhaust sounds great. the bolts to the old cat were a pain the ass to remove though, ended up angle grinding them out and replacing them, but all is good, no leaks.
