I lowered my car the other day on king spring superlows with monroe gas shockies, but now the car has developed a clunk sound coming from the left handside of the undercarriage/boot area.
I'm just thinking that the lefthandside shock absorber hasn't been tightened enough and that is the source of the noise.
The car is only sitting on 16's/225 so I don't think I have any wheel rub problem, and on inspection there wasnt anything visibly noticeable to cause the problem.
maybe i need an adjustable panhard rod? I will be getting one anyway, just to make sure I don't throw out the diff too much, but would people recommend replacing the control arms? I found a set on ebay, what do you guys think?

Get the panhard rod if its scrubbing, that fixed mine.
I've got a few clunking noises under the back of my VS,
1 is the diff hitting the exaust pipe
2 is the tailshaft hitting the floor creating a nice little dent for it to sit in (only with 5 people in it now)
Check your shocks, they can appear tight when you put them in but loosen up a bit.
as above and possibly the rear of the exhaust is knocking on the side of the fuel tank or the rear of the body below the bumper bar.
Nobody wants to play with me
thanks guys, i think you may be right about the exhaust hitting the diff or the bodywork, it is a definite hollow clunk, i guess i need to figure out how to stop this from happening if this is the problem.
swordsy, have you tried securing the exhaust, maybe i'll weld something else to help support it or pad the part that is hitting the diff.
