Default LPG in a VZ ???

Does anyone know if Holden actually fitted factory gas themselves in house. Or did they send the cars out to a contractor to be fitted up?

Also, who did they send it out to, and what brand injected gas system did they install?

    Thanks Guys

they are sent out to the hbd crew (holden by design) so the car comes out of the factory plain jane bog standard, all hbd options are fitted, ie gas, audio upgrade, different steering wheels etc,

dealer fitted things like weathersheilds, bonnet protectors and air conditioning is fitted by the dealer you purchased from

i believe holden still use impco as the supplier

Dont spose you know if the entire gas kit is available as a Spare part?

IS it just me or do all the aftermarket kits look like they are have been bolted on by monkeys ??

AND they are quoting me more than the kit was supposed to be fitted when the car was new.

i believe holden will not sell the kit, only aftermarket brands such as sprint etc etc

no svi still injects the fuel as a vapour, so the fuel economy will be within 20% of petrol, performance will be unnoticably less,

liquid injection (lpi) is as it says, injects the gas the same way as a petrol fuel system works, the advantage of lpi is that you will achive more power and torque and economy is within 5% of petrol so more significant savings,

it is also a much simpler and neater setup and may prevent the valve seat wear issues like vapor setups present (mixer and svi)

unsure how long, ive heard a few different prices so i wont comment, one was cheap and the other was a bit more expensive than a vapour injection setup
