    Default Cat Value

Hi, this morning some guy bought all the spare cat convertors i have off wrecked cars saying he needed them for jobs his doing, i sold them to him for $30 each but his story wasnt very straight. he was saying how he would only buy them if they are not high flow and if they have full insides, i have heard the metal inside is not cheap, does anyone know if you can get money for them from scrap yards or somewhere else that would recycle the insides, Thanks

yeah bro i got mate of mine that does that for a living ! picks up old cars and what not ! he has huge containers full of batteries , cats , and radiators which he strips of before he cashs the rest of the car ! good money in em for people who work in those fields! piks up car for free makes money off that then once he got a fair pile of cats etc that hes stripped of the cars he cashes them! even the exhaust shops make money off ya old cats when they chuck new ones in just imagine the pile they got!!!

There are recycling plants that strip the precious metals out of the cats and then it's re used in new cats. We used to get $20 a cat 18 months ago, don't know what the going rate is for them now.

You're doing your bit for recycling, making a bit of cash, he is obviously making a bit too. It's what makes the world go round.

U Pull It give you $30 for your old cat. Apparently they sell them to some guy for $100 each, who takes out the special metals.

it's logical that the price would go up with the quantity supplied, taking into account the legwork involved in collecting them.
