Not too sure but id say you would have to pay the difference.

    Is it your car?
If its your car and your on a pension and your soon not to be, then it wont matter, pay it on the pension whilst you can.
If your buying a car thes ona pension rego and you want to swap it into your name, you MAY have to pay the differemce on the remaining time. It would still be cheaper to transfer then get new rego.

Correct. If you are buying a car, when it it transfered into your name you will have to pay the difference on the time remaining. Otherwise, as said, pay it cheaper now and wait until it is due again before you pay the full amount.
