An 18 year old has had his car impounded by the police here in Mildura over the easter weekend, apparently he drove through a puddle on the side of the road trying to splash someone at a bus stop,in doing so he aquaplaned and ended up hitting another car on the other side of the road ,i say good stuff

Lol. that'll learn him

Driving through a puddle and losing control isn't exactly hoon behaviour, I think there is more to it than that.
Driving through a puddle and losing control isn't exactly hoon behaviour,????
not an abba fan,if tryin to splash a pedestrian sitting at a bus stop doesnt count as a hoon, how about just a plain d..khead,i only reported what was said on the radio pretty well word for word.

Ha,we had a 39yr old lady drive past a unmarked cop car at 160kph in a 100 zone the other day.No car for a few days and no license soon.
i remember when i use to be a delivery driver i went though a massive puddle in a FIAT Ducato and water went into the air intake and blew the motor. Funny as, nothing handles like a work van
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
Just sounds like another idiot without wheels for a while..... Creates a safer road for all of us, so this is great news....

Yes, sorry, that is NSW...haven't seen if other states have it.
But we need that rule, as our roads are so bad. Though I don't know ho you are supposed to avoid them, it's not like you can swerve into other lanes, and often you can't see it's a puddle (or how deep it is) until you've hit it.
But as you are only splashing water, it's not an offense.
