has anyone tried to remove their tint as i need to remove mine and am hoping to do it by myself in order to get it off defect. aany tips would be gratly appreciated. cheers
The rear window is best removed by professionals, as otherwise you risk damaging the demisters. It needs to be steamed and heated before being removed safely.
i did the sides by my self.
luckily i didnt have any tint on the rear window to start off with.
All i needed was a spray bottle and a New Ravor Blade (blades for stanley knife)
Depending on how long the tint has been there, the adhesive will either stick to the film or stay on the window.
With the razor i lifted up one corner of the film and pulled it off gently so it comes of as one piece.
If the adhesive gets stuck to the window, soak it with water and then get the razor and scrape it off
tint a car is gunna do it 4 60 bucks which is pretty good. would have been better though if i didnt get defected in th first place :-(
Use a hairdryer to heat up the tint and peal it off !
Then use a h-duty window cleaner to get off the left over sticky sh1t !
