i have a 6.0l from a ve and i want to put it in my vq but the loom and computer in the ve is way different to my 5.0 is it even possable to use the ve engine ecu or will the old 5.0 ecu run the 6.0
in a word NO you need to use the 6L loom
but the 6.0l loom is every function of the car that meens i have to have all the electrical functions every thing and if bits are taken off then the computer thinks there is somthing wrong with it
could i use an aftermarket engine managment system for it
you coud se full after market ecm like a motec but costly. I cant remember do the old 5L have a BCM? as really the 6L ecm really controls the engine and the trans the BCM covers most of the rest, either way I think costly exercise with some tuning required
yes there is a bcm in the vq but its completly different in the ve so i think a after market ecu is going to be needed i was hopping i could do a harware change and put the old electrics onto the new motor
