Default struggling to sell VP HSV

Had my 93 hsv formula up for sale for a while and aint gettin no interest at all. any tips? Its a pretty rare car and in good nic, i think redbook over values it by about $2-$3K is $5000 too much to be asking? What do youz think?

no, if you're selling to an open market its a decent starting price - be prepared to haggle though

If your not getting any interest, drop the price a little and say your price is negotiable.
Edit: Also, 260,XXXkms is a fair bit, most people are hesitant on buying cars with high kms as they are more prone to problems and don't have much life left in them. I'd drop the price.

    Its deffinatly a real HSV.

not even 100 made (Can't remember the number tho).

A guy on street commodores has a Red one, that he's put an LS1 into.

They look the same as the VP SV6s, except they are 2 tone, not single colour.

My personal opinion, at the end of the day, its still a V6 Commodore. Since most people don't know what they are, they wouldn't look twice at it.
I doubt i'd even buy one if i was offered one cheap.

    It's a V6? I though HSV have only ever done v8's?

Age is the trouble, age and kilowatts...

It's a little odd to sit behind an old SS V8 Commodore with a proud "185i" badge on it...and realise that your new V6 family plugger is putting out the same or usually more than what was supposed to be a premium performance car...

Why spring for ludicrous V8 rego and high running costs (of an older far less fuel efficient V8 I mean) if you are simply after a car, instead of if you were a true collector?

Stealthy, dont forget the early limited run of the HSV astras!!

Ive seen quality SV89's go for 7k, no way in heck a Formula would go for 5.

So if someone drives a 4 banger or something that's not a V6 or a V8 they are gay? I tell you, there are plenty of 4 bangers out there that would blow your VN V6 and BT1 away. Just because someone doesn't drive a Commodore or Falcon 6 or 8, doesn't mean they are gay. Even for a joke, it's lame One day when i am over the modifying cars scene there is a real chance i'll buy a 4 banger because they are cheap on fuel to get me from A to B.

lol, Im not over the modifying car scene and im in love with the Evo X. Unless Holden or Ford bring out something special in the next 12 months, could go that way. After taking a drive of a tuned Evo 9 i can say...woah I am impressed.
