    Default question about exhaust

Hey guys i just got quoted for $210 for a 2.5in cat back with hotdog fitted. It's a lukey performance exhaust, just wondering if anyone has experience using lukey and know if it's good or should i keep looking for a shop that stocks redback brand?

I'm getting a 2.5in cat back with a muffler and then hotdog at the end. My mate said it's gonna sound too soft because of the 2 mufflers and said i should jus get the muffler and no hotdog. Opinions please. and if som1 has a sound clip of a stock v6 vt with this exhaust please post.

Get the rear resinator (aka muffler) taken off and out of the equation. Get a 2.5" cat back ststem, which includes only the main first muffler, no need for the rear muffler (resonator).

I havnt herd of getting rid of the front muffler before, I dont think its "legal" either. Drone is Drone, its a concquence of getting a bigger exhaust and trying to get a louder sound.

So get that rear muffler taken off and keep the front muffler and resinator is what your saying?

Im saying keep the front muffler, like everybody does. Then get rid of the rear one, the rear muffler is also known as the "resonator" due to its exhaust quieting properties.

    pacemaker extractors into
    standard holden cat into
    2 1/2" pipe
    single straight thru muffler
    nothing on the ass end.

this will give you a loud tuff note (for a 6)

    pacemaker extractors into
    standard holden cat into
    2 1/2" pipe
    single straight thru muffler
hot dog on the ass end.

this will give you a deep solid note (for a 6)

    standard exhasut manifold into
    standard holden cat into
    2 1/2" pipe
    single straight thru muffler
hot dog or rear rezi on the ass end.

this will give you a dull/ holo note and a bad drone (for a 6)

(this is what i have experienced, but vary with cars)

that has 3 mufflers..... commodores only have 2, one up front and one on the rear...

just take the resonator off (rear), usually makes them sound a little better but as someone said, if you want loud you'll get drone

i've got 2.5 mandrel bent Rage exhaust 1 straight thro muffler and out the back,
on atm then i have some Manual Pacemaker extractors that will be getting fitted when my manual goes in, and get the muffler changed to a luke so it will be
Pacemaker extractors into standard cat might get 2 cats, then to 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust to lukey straight throw muffler and straight out the back into my duel 3inch tip

If it is an auto, take the front muffler out and leave the rear on, otherwise it will drone. A manual, take the rear off. This is on a sports system, if you take out a muffler on the stock system, it sounds like crap.
