diff gears (where to get from and get them put in)

Hi I have a VR BT1 (v8,auto,irs), and I would like to get the diff ratio changed for better acceleration.
My question is where can I buy them from and where in Newcastle or Sydney can I get them installed? Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Get them from a diff place and put them in your diff

I got a 3.73 LSD for my vx by trawling forums "FS" sections...

Ebay, wreckers are all options if you looking not to pay top dollar...

Might end up being cheaper to get a whole diff with the gears your after rather than finding the gears and then paying for labour to put them in.

Go to your local Nissan wreckers. R31 and pintara's are your friend, between the four variants (auto and manual of each) you have a choice of 3.7's, 3.9's and 4.11's.

I think the manual R31's had the 3.7's
And the pintara had 3.9's (auto) and 4.11 (manual)

Its also not just a simple job, i know if you stuff somthin up its BAD.
If you just picked up the gears and payed some one to chuck em in it wouldnt be too expensive

I got quoted $150 to change my diff gears if I supply the gears.

Umm... quick side note...

If your putting this into a car thats your daily driver the 4.11's might be abit overkill
