    Default VS SS Series II what price should i pay ?

    Looking at a VS SS Series II (1996)

    Quote from seller ... "Car in Immac condition inside and out. Has a big stereo system priced at $2500 Professional boot install, Pioneer head unit, 2 Eclispse Amps, 2 Eclispse 12' Subs, Eclispse 6' 4-way speakers in the doors and parcel shelf. 3' Cat Back Exhaust system 3.5' oval tip. Brand new tyres with 95% tread all round. New Radiator, water pump and Thermostat, Brake pads all round, Air Con just been serviced and its icy cold. New alternator. 160,000 kms mostly highway kms. Logbooks. Serviced every 10,000kms Auto serviced every 15,000kms, Has Auto Trans cooler. 73 litre fuel tank and averages 10.2L/100kms on the highway."

    ... wants $11 500 neg .. is this too high .. or is it a somewhat bargin? ..NB: priv sale.

    I'd say too high, but it is negotiable so throw an offer at him and see if he takes it.

    End of the day, its worth what someone is willing to pay. I wouldn't pay over 10 if its in immaculate condition. And I mean immaculate.

    Yeah i've seen good ones go for under $10k, $11500 is getting up there.
    Have a look and see what you think, it may be worth more to you.

    I personally wouldn't pay more than 6-7k tops. The cars 12 years old now.

    you can get yourself a vt ss ls1 for that price. i dont get why these older SS's seem to be selling for so much. as minux said, theyre getting old.

    Thanks for the replies guys ... has sold the car ... not too sure what he got for her .. but yeah prolly a lil over priced NB: never actually got to see the car for real, only pics ... but did look the goods, ahh well.

    Might spruce up the Berlina instead
