Hi guys,
Whats involved in transferring rego between states. If i was to buy a car from another state (im in QLD) what would i have to do to get QLD rego on it. Is it just a matter of getting it re-roadworthy'd (the roadworthy it comes with doesn't count in QLD) once i get it back to QLD and registering it, as you would with a car with expired rego?
Cheers
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people
Pretty much. As far as I'm aware, you'd walk into Queensland Transport with a current roadworthy and your application form for Vehicle Registration, and proceed as usual.
