Anyone used it?? I want to buy a can or two so i can smooth over my shifter surround plate, instead of slopping bog over the patched up holes so i get an even smooth coating.
But yeah, has anyone used it, and if so, how well does it work? Is it easy to sand etc?

But yeah i need to know whether this spray on filler works at all well, i'm guessing (or hoping) it does, because i assume overall it would give you a smoother, more even coat as opposed to slopping bog down.
It would still have to be sanded, but it would be overall smoother if the way i am thinking about it is correct.

I did the one in my VR, piece of **** mate. Just spend about an hour sanding it to perfection.

Yeah there is a few bee's dick nicks in the spare shifter surround i am using for the smoothing over etc, i have done what Ben Hosking has done from his thread on SC and covered the holes where the ash tray and lighter goes with a plastic ruler and araldite, just have to level it out with a small layer of bog so it's all flat, then i want to layer the rest of the shifter surround with the spray on filler to take care of the little nicks and tiny dints.
I am gonna sand it to perfection, i don't care how long it takes me, nothing worse than a bog or sanded job with tiny dints and uneven sufaces. Looks ****house.

Is that the stuff they had on the counter? The flexi bog stuff? I used it on my front bar, hasn't cracked at all, worked a bloody treat and it dries really quick too!

Yeah that's the one. It's bloody good stuff!! I still have a bit in the garage, i'm gonna use it to fill the ashtray and lighter hole once the araldite has totally cured. won't need much at all.

I do a bit of work at a crash repair place every so often, and if they bog a panel they sand it to shape then take it straight to the pant shop to prime and paint. If I do a panel I always gotta throw some primer on it coz I can't feel where I've gone wrong, I gotta see wat it looks like with one colour on it......but hey, that's why they're the pro's, and I'm just the **** kicker lol.![]()

will this spray on putty primer fill scratches in the metal? cos whoever resprayed my car used something like 60grit sandpaper to sand back the old paint.. and i need to fill the scratches they left. lol
Well i may have to do that then. I don't wanna bog the 100% ENTIRE thing, just where the ashtray and lighter were, and that little ridge that runs around the outside of it all. Then sand that back and primer it.

Use one of those little model car brushes . Used this to fix the lower edge on my front bar on my VX S . Came up ok.
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
that spray putty is essentially a single pack high fill primer, small scratches can be fixed with it after two coats or so, the scratch will still be evident, but after you block the panel back, smooth and flush as all hell, basically your sanding the primer everywhere except the scratch down to meet the scratch which is "filled" with the high fill.
My car currently is in High Fill 2k primer and it's the best stuff ever.
