They've been driving unique cars for ages - anything from old bombs to fairly modified cars. You just never know. Oh and keep a look out for the 'baby on board' stickers lol
i went to the bp servo on albany hwy when some guys said they liked my car and wanted to know if i would like to join in some backstreet drags this friday night. i was gonna say yes just to go watch or what ever. but i then recongised them as regular cop customers comeing in for there lunch at maccas. coz i work there. just wondering if this has happend to anyone else, to set people up, i dun no.
i have also heard that they are supposed to have undercover utes now as well. they probly realised that the plain commo's with pursuities are to much of a dead give away

I live in Dubbo, two weekends ago there was a massive blitz on defects. There was an unmarked ute getting around. I reckon that's wrong. Because the cops were trying to drag people off at the lights. Now far as I am concerned cops breaking the law to make someone else break the law to fine them is wrong. I thought the police force were meant to uphold the law. Not make people break the law.
Cheers,

Whilst if you are stupid enough to be sucked in by this, you deserve to get done, it really does seem like entrapment to me, I wonder about the legalities of it all. Would be interesting if someone were to take it to court with a decent lawyer.
The other day the cops were driving along just infront of me when all of a sudden they slow down and pull a u-turn rear bags a blazzin (SS sedan) ass hanging out, so next time im in a hurry I might do the same.....
'But office I was just doing the same as you'???

Yeah, thats entrapment, and its illegal. In QLD this sort of thing has been going on for a loooong time. There are lots of 'hoons' here though.
One night I was out at Harry's Diner (Its practically a motor show every Friday night), and the cops were across the road with a gold SS...and a video camera. Not that they were doing anything wrong, but it just goes to show they arent always the boys in blue.

And you'd already know that police browse car forums. And if you advertise a cruise and they somehow know all about it.....
Its entrapment yes, but if all they're doing is sitting in the car looking at you and you take off like an idiot purely because they have a nice car. Thats not.
However, I'm sure they'd press the loud pedal down fairly firmly - Seriously though, if you did race a cop, and your car beat theres, and they put the lights on.. Wouldn't you just keep going hehe, nah.
It's ridiculous, but it has to be done to get the idiots off the roads. Even though its entrapment, who really cares? They're getting the idiots that are racing at 120+ in suburban area's off the roads.
Agree with bextor84... Yes in WA its against the law as siad before its entrapment and yups I would say the cops do browse the car forums to find out what people are doing... Most cop cars are stock and thus most cars on forums are modded and thus are quicker than the cops... Yes I have seen "D" cars as even HSV Clubbies... Dont know why or how they get them... But nowdays anycar could be a under cover... They are getting sneaky which is bitter sweet... they have a job to do, they are told the laws they dont make them. But yes I disagree with them trying to trap you.
Yeah the car club that i'm in have had the same problem with there cruises where the cops pull the whole convoy up and RBT and check every car in the lot. So we avoid this buy handing out the cruise map at the start of the cruise instead of announcing it in the forums. We also had the problem with the SS utes with the camera mounted in them, but they seem to have disappeared lately. They have been replaced with a completely standard BA falcon with no aerials and hub caps, this car has a radar mounted on the A pillar. Also does anyone know why we might be seeing Toyota Parados with cop signs and lights all over them cruising the street 1 night of the month then there gone. Only to return the following month for 1 night again.

Maybe they come in from out of town?

yea bloke... they train 'em down here in brizz, then send 'em up to airlie beach etc for a bit of practice........![]()
Around in wollongong they have a few undercover cars that catch afew ppl out, i.e. people try to race them at the lights. One is a brand new blue magna. The others that l've seen you wouldn't expect a cop to drive!

Some Police Officers, are now flaring up in undercover cars, such as: - A WRX to Monaro, I have witness these doings. There was a 4cyc Rice box, the undercover Monaro and I lined up at the Great Western. The Monaro was revving his car and carrying on like a tool. I just simply ignored him. The Monaro and the 4cyc rice box a 200sx hit it off the line i sat back watching and keeping a fair speed later on I saw the monaro flash his blue and red lights on his dash to pull the 200sx over... tough luck to the mate in the 200sx... he lost the race and then got fined. I smiled.
Just yesterday on my way to work, I was cruising through a school zone, I usually slow down to 50ish.. Even though its 40. Anyway, was cruising through and I look to the left and its a copper in his own car going to a job. No lights, sitting on about 70. I sped up and sat behind him all the way through the school zone, then sat on 70 through the 60 zone.
Whats he gonna do? Book me of course.
We had cop troubles a while back with a mate - the cop was his next door neighbour. Anyway, huge amounts of 'taking my work home' kind of attitude 'never off duty' Whatever man.
Anyway, he would watch us leave our mates place, watch our every move, one night he booked a mate for reversing over the centerline and reversing further then necessary. In all fairness I later learnt that he reversed up the whole street. But still, reversing over the centerline.
We were going to sit outside and record everytime he left his house. We'd heard that he'd go up onto the neighbours grass then do a u-turn across the road or something.
Citizens arrest, we're never off duty.
well about 30mins ago i got pulled over buy an undercover unit (was an evo) and he booked me for noise polution and i laughed as he was trying to book me for turnin my 6x9s up mind you there un amped only runnin off the head unit and like 60 yrs old ( lolk not realy there the old poineer ones) the only way he heard it was he almost hit me when he was tryin to mearge lanes cause the lane he was in turned i mean common havnt you cops got better things to do like go solve a murder case or a break in as it tokk them nearly 4 hours to get to my place when it was broken into!!!!! and yes i know the cops read through these and bloody hell yes i would love to hear there reasons for pullin ppl up for somethin as little as this ohh and a $29 fine lol what a laugh
so if any of you cops get the time ( when ya not pullin ppl over for distorting a pair of old 6x9s) please as i would love to hear them and then mayby we can speak our minds like you seem to always do when you pull us over!!!!!!!
ok guys, this thread is starting to go off topic a little. This is a thread about police using entrapment tactics to lure drivers into breaking the law. Please don't try to turn this in to yet another cop bashing thread or else the thread will be locked![]()
It always was going to be a cop bashing thread.
no..not at alll..I didn't mean this to turn into a cop-bashing thread..I have known some really nice blokes, that were cops...and I never held it against them, they were good mates...I would just like to hear a few opinions from members of the Force, about this "dragging " thing, is all..........
Here's an idea, why doesnt everone take a chill pill & back off.
Police have a job to do & they do it. Simple.
