regardless of everything else, it has 143,xxx 4 months rego, rwc, very clean, and it's going for 3300 on car sales, but noone is buying it, one person has looked at it over the past 3 weeks, nothing else, an he didn't come back.
I need my money back!!
Where is it??? Maybe an add in the for sale section here might work better.
Cheers,
Reaper

I can offer $1500 as is. Can pickup tomorrow with cash if you are interested.
Cheers,

Truthfully, i paid 2800 for it and spent 500 on 6 months rego and the RWC. ill take 2500 or 1500 plus something to the value of at least $1000, wheels etc...
I believe that is what you paid however it is worth about $1500 to me. I don't need a RWC.
Cheers,

i'd say having stockies on the rear and a P plate in the window is whats turning people off the car...
It is cheap when you think about it, if some one wanted a 5ltr, in that car or even use it for the running gear if it was in good nick.
But it doesnt look like much, and yeah, 5ltr, p plate and stockies.......
Maybe try freshening it up a bit, have matching rims on the car, and take some nice photos of it down at a good scenic location, may boost the visual impact a bit
i completely agree with VRSS. take down your p plates, and definately take out the part that says you lost your licence. doesnt make me feel very confident that you havent thrashed its tits off
wat answer...
i only drove it for 2 days before i had to go to court for something i did 6 months ago in another car, before me a 30 year old owned it and hadn't driven it for 2 years as it was a project that they gave up on before they even started on it.
Ill take down the p plates an take some new pics. thanks for the advice.
if i lived near you and had the money i would buy it in a jiffy, but finances are crap at the moment, and i dont live close. good luck with the sale mate
Selling a car is like selling a cake to someone who doesnt like cake. You need to convince them that they do like it, and that they want to eat it.
That said its a game that needs to be played subtly, you cant be over powering or your typical sales men.
Take down the P's, get matching stockies - people still see mags as hoon mobile, take out the part about you loosing your license. Smarten up the car, spend a day cleaning it and take some really nice pics of it. The catback will also deter people who just want a good car so maybe go to the wreckers and get a stock exhaust and put that back on. If Someone comes to look at it, maybe get your dad to show them the car, it will put trust in the seller to have someone older show them the car. Also get a mate to park a newer car in the driveway of your house, then you can say you have upgraded.
Also maybe have the add say something like
--------------------Immaculate VN Executive Sedan---------------
VN Commodore executive, fantastic mechanical condition, 140,000kms , recently serviced with no major faults, $1800 recently spent on a freshen up. Second owner selling due to upgrade. Straight car and is well looked after. Any test welcome $3000 with RWC and 4 Months reg.

----------- END-----------
Dont focus on things like the sound of the car, the wheels, the power of its v8. Most people (the wider community) will not care about it. They want a reliable car, with low kms and good history. So give it to them
Im in Pakenham, id be willing (if you needed mechanical help) to come give you a hand.
My offer still stands. Quick easy money and it's all fixed

Up it or it's your loss.
change the wording of the the add, put matching rims/wheels on the car... easy.. then see how ya go with it
you may even have to drop the price to what you actually paid for it ie: $2800. you cant add the cost of the RWC and any work you did to the sell price, its not how it works. eg: if you spend $5000 doing a car up it doesnt add $5000 to the sell price.
damn i want that car![]()
its to dear
I sold my VN 5L in a week guy didnt even see it
If the car was in Queensland Morton would buy it :P you can't get a half decent 5 litre up there in crazy land for less than 4 grand it seems
