    Default Help with BA fan boy

    Hi guys,

    I have recently purchased a VZ and seem to be taking alot of 'crap' from one of the Ford fan boys that I work with...

    He owns a BA & has been rubishing my VZ all week.

    Apparently the engine is low budget...

    Apparently there is no power...

    Apparently same suspension system from 1989...

    And many other things!

    Now I dont normally get involved in these games. But any fun that I can pick at the BA would be appreciated! Apparently the VZ is a 'horrible motor car'....!

    Apparently they outsold the BA by miles. Apparently the BA wagon has cart springs in the rear that date back to the 60's etc etc etc. That said the BA is a nice car and does it's intended job very well. I wouldn't get drawn into some other wankers insecurities when he needs to dis other peoples cars.

    BA = Big Arse.

    BA = Bisexual Adult.

    Truth is you probably get better econemy then he does, Brothers BA was getting 15-17l/100 easy.
    Just tell him when fords are in 2nd place on the sales chart ahead of the corolla lol, Come back and see me.

    Both have 4 speed auto's, IRS, Diff's, one has a tailshaft that isn't limited because it will snap, Both have suspensions, And 5 seats. What's the big deal?. Both have Brakes but only one warps them after 5,000km..

    Just tell this bloke to grow the **** up and stop this BS little child. Holdens are so **** that there parents drive them lol.

    The way i see it, fords are better in the 6's dept, but cant match holden in the V8 dept...BOSS is no match for LS1/LS2...i bought my BA because it had everything i wanted and handles alot better than the holden equivalent IMO...still think sometimes how i should have bought that VX calais international instead...ah well...

    If u want ammo agains the BA's , mention the many rust problems they have, autos carking it at 150,000, power steering shudder, handbrake problems(myin my case basically non existent) and also the radiator cores in them colapsing and mixing coolant into trans...also i agree with the brakes comment, as soon as i bought mine the brakes started warping...i gots slotted DBA's now , so problem gone and pulls up much better, ABS has to actually work now...

    Holdens are a drivers car, ford's arnt what they used to be, when the EA's came out anthing after that failed, sure the BA gained some sales, but they arnt as exciting as a Holden and never will be.

    i can agree about the auto transmission.. but how is an ls1 a pig... they go all right...

    As for fords... well they don't appeal to me at all. Ok i lied, the XR6 turbo is ok, goes well but at the end of the day it is still a ford. They don't look as good as holdens and the quality just isn't there. Also i think the utes look like sh*t, especially the FPV ute... it looks like it has been slapped together (http://www.autoclub.com.au/uploaded_...007-799043.jpg).. just look at all the seperate pieces.. plus it is too chunky and plain ugly.
    Plus i think the amount of holden v8 sales compared with xr8 sales just goes to show that holdens are killing it... you don't see many fpv GT's/GT-P's or xr8's on the road.

    No, he is not correct about the suspension dating from 1989.

    Components of the front suspension can be found in the VB (well according to Motor mag anyway)!

    i dont find the alloytec to bad, you just need to know how to use the throttle properly and it will lump along and throw you around, stabbing, flooring the pedal does nothing for it and the computer says a big no no and reduces the power of it,

    just tell the fool that his motor origins are 30-40 years old and his ba is a big overweight, over balanced boat ancor

    remember the ba weighs just short of 1700kg and the vz is 1560kg, - thats xt to executive btw

    Aren't we talking about a Alloytec here? as if you would compare a BA to a V8 VZ . Alloytec is a failure in such a heavy car as a modern Commodore, just not enough cubes and grunt for the weight

    The one piece on the Wagons are limitted to 180k. The two piece is much better.

    As for the fanboy, dont worry about him. He's obviously insecure and need to feel better then ya. Kinda like the guys that say yeah that *insert model here* is good but its a *insert brand here*.
