hey guys, just checking if the guards and flutes, would be a straight fit onto my sv6 ? and anyone know where i could possibly pick some up from ?
Check out Genuine Holden Parts - Holden Commodore VR,VS,VT,VX,VY,VZ,Monaro,Statesman,Utes,HSV NVU or you can find them on ebay but they're most likely cheap copies unless you get a private user who lists an original one.

will they fit a vy ss directly or not because of headlight differences?
Im pretty sure they won't fit the vy SS due to the headlights

I've been told that the VY and VZ share the same guard design, that and on most of the places you can get these they're advertised as VY VZ vented guards
The different headlights should only make a difference to the front bumper, not the front guards/quarter panels.
I always thought the outer edges of the lights were a different shape also. More than likely wrong tho

be warned though, vy and vz bonnets, grills, lights and bumpers AREN'T interchangeable without changing the whole front - only the guards are shared
ok cool thanks
Why not have your original front guards modified to fit the SS flutes. Panel beaters are able to complete the job. You could talk to Jim at Motorfield in Thomastown who have done this job many times for VT VX VY and VZ even VR VS and Camira. I've seen them completed and they are file finished. Motorfield can also supply the new flutes.
I'm sure it works like this but don't quote me, you give Motorfield your guards they come back modified then you bolt them up then take your car and the flutes to the panel shop for painting. You may need to have the front doors painted to blend in the color as it's not easy to color match edge to edge.
Is it possible to have them fitted to your exisitng guards without having to re-spray your guards?
or just do what i saw a tool the other option is DIY. i saw someone who had attempted to put flutes on his VR ute... i think there was a full tube of no-more-gaps holding them in
