Firstly, which are better Nolathane or KMAC, anyone had any experiences with them?
Difference in quality etc....
thanks![]()
I used pedders and it was fine.
how much was it?
Pedders because its alot easier to adjust for the wheel aligners like me![]()

No personal experience, but I've been advised several times by "experts" that the KMac system has more adjustment and is of a better quality.

thanks all for the feedback, will be in search of a camber kit.
Ive also heard for the commodores, "KMAC hands down" from a few installers, one of which is into the drag racing scene a fair bit..
This may be different depending on what series of commie you have also, I'm not sure. Apparently the kits are a bitch to DIY install, some shops have a special tool for it..
I have a VR calais and I was quoted $650 - $700 for a 4-point Kmac kit installed... yeowza!
for 1st and 2nd gen commodores the adjustable trut tops are a bolt in proposition. 3rd gen commodores the mounting cup for the top strut bush is actually spot welded into the strut tower and needs to be drilled out. then you can drill the holes to suit the new adjustable strut top. hence the reason it costs more for later model commodores.
street machine did a article on em when they fitted new suspension to there giveaway project ute "VU for U" got some good pics from memory

wtf???? i can pickup the kit for $450 and do it myself.....that is from REPCO!!!!
i personally reckon the k-mac is the best money well spent... ive installed them a few times and they r the best at wheel alignment adjustability...
3 kits ive installed are used on track duty on heaps of occasions...
just out of curiosity, on my vy srz1 ss, do i need a camber kit for the rear? and was told needed a camber and toe kit if i lower my car bout 1-2 inches, is this true? or does it have camber adjustment? and are nolathane bushes worth it or are the factory bushes ok for the front and rear? cars done 166,000kays.
I got a 4 point fitted and alignment for about $350 i think it was the blue jobbies. The camber was pretty good but the toe out was a bit excessive before i got the kit fitted
I have since done 20,000 kays and they are wearing pretty even across the tread.

Dayvo....where did you take your VX SS S1 for the 4 point kit?.
My son has mine now but is still not good. I got Holden to put in their 2 point kit but that only fixed toe-in but didn't really help with tyre wear. Then got Pedders to put in their adjustable rear kit to give an extra 0.5 degree camber adjustment which helped a little. Camber is still obvious and tyre wear still poor. Lucky to get 15,000K out of inside shoulder of rears then swap them to the front. Pedders advised against the 4 point kit as it requires frequent adjustment so they say.
If you reckon the 4 point kit fixes the issue then might try that. What make and were did you get them done.
In comparison My VE SS has done 12000 and my wife's stock VT Berlina is fine...got 80,000 out of the old RE92's twice.
I got mine done at a place called Strutfit at 2/6 Fowler road Dandenong which is off South Gippsland Hwy . Its only a small place but the guy really knows his stuff .He has every camber kit known to man in stock . The main killer on the rear end is the toe out more than the camber .
