How to make an avatar

Hey all

Waiting to cop flaming for retardation......
I did a thorough search and came up with nadda.
How do you create an avatar? The one i have at the mo is boring me (thx to minux for creating it) and Mack made me one, but what is actually involved in doing it?

Ive always made my signatures and avatars in Adobe Photoshop, I first find out what the size limitation for the site is, usually 100pxl x 100pxl and make a new document, then open my picture and chop it and resize it to suit then add some text if needed, change some colours etc then add a border and save it.

So in short, I use a Photoshop program. Im sure there are sites that you can create Avatars with but they arnt as good quality and I like using photoshop.

You just need a picture and a program that you can modify pictures in. Then once you have a pic you need in will need to be made into the size you need. In your case your current Avtar size is 180 x 88 pixels. Then save it into a jpeg. Go into your user control panel select avtar and upload.

There might be a slight difference to the way you attach the avtar because of your increased size over normal
