    Default Tyres for VX2 acclaim

    Hi Guys

I have 15" alloys that need new tyres. Pretty boring I know but I love the car and do a lot of driving. I was going to just go with the Bridgestone RE92's but I thought I would ask you guys before spending my money. I drive fairly conservatily (have to these days with speed camera's and all) but I would like to get the best for my money.

Safety, quiteness. smooth ride is what I am looking for and I drive all over NSW.

Any suggestions or just buy the RE92 ?.

    Thanks for any opinions
    Paul

Stay away from the RE92's they are very dangerous tyre on a commodore. nearly had an accident in wet weather in my old vt wagon due to having re92's.

A set of Dunlop Sp3000's would work well as well as Goodyear Decaro GA's.

It all depens on how much you want to spend.

dont laugh but i had a set of these new style nang kangs fitted to a car at work (vz wagon), the gripped like all hell, where dead quiet, had an aggressive looking tread, they were pretty soft though so i wouldnt expect any more than 30,000km, but at $65 a tyre why not, id buy them again

edit: i think they might have been these http://www.nankangtyres.com.au/prodDetail.php?pid=4

I ended up buying Pirelli P6's. I had them on a Magna a couple of years back and there were a good basic tyre. I always notice a huge difference in performance , handling and braking whenever I get new tyres, balance and wheel alignment.

    Thanks

RE92's are dead set dangerous on a wet road. I love my Kumhos. If you're staying with 15" tyres see if you can still get a set of Kumho KH15.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
