It's ok saying there is an aux in the facia ,but you still need an extra piece of equipment hanging out of it.
The rodeo I drive during the day for work has an aux as well, but it also plays mp3 files through the standard audio system.
Just thought I'd give my 2 bobs worth.

Mmm, spose the small black lead that plugs "male 3.5mm to male 3.5mm" from the Ipod to the console jack could be a concern but for about $3 to $9 bucks you can buy them original or from any electrical store.
I think the leads come in longer lengths so that you can sit buy your 60th Anniversary Commodore and play what you like through the 6 speakers. No ear phones is sometimes pleasant; or just plug your Ipod ear jacks straight into your ears.
With all the extras you get with the 60th Anniversary Commodore I reckon it's a good deal.
As you know you can; as an option, get a limited edition 18 inch alloy plus Bridgestone tyre for $250 but to go out and buy one would cist you heaps but you you can't because they are not released to the general public yet.
I reckon I could put up with a little $9 genuine Ipod cable which fits neatly into the console; it's only 50cm or so and folds away neatly.
But hey, maybe I'm not up with the times but I certainly find a CD player, Radio and Ipod connection quite adequate. You can even recharge your ipod from the console 12V outlet too.
Anyway, I reckon GMH have made a brilliant VE 60th Anniversary Commofore and we should thank the staff for providing a great car.
Having said that any improvement adds to the cost and we can't have everything. I purchased a white 60th Edition in May; it was the cheapest colour but I could pay for the cable and a new Ipod
