yes another one
are you more likely to get wheelspin off a 4.11 diff ratio or say a lower like 3.08?
its to settle another arguement between mates.
We got rep back, yaaay!
id say 4.11's? more acceleration must mean more wheel spin i may be wrong but i dunno.
i get fair bit of wheel spin in 3.08 so imagine 4.11'sid say yes, you will get more, and it'll be easier aswell with 4.11's then the stock ratio
yea lots more from 4.11
Another for '4.11s'
Sure hope you didn't have your money on 3.08s JD

A simple test to prove why 4.11's will spin much easier.
Go jump on a bike with any amount of gears. Have it on the biggest sprocket on the front, and smallest sprocket on the back. Try and skid up the wheels taking off on gravel or grass.. These are your 3.08 gears. Now switch the gearing on the bike to the smallest sprocket on the front and the largest on the rear try again to spin up the wheel on grass or gravel, this is what 4.11's are like.

Id say 4.11s as well,
ALTHOUGH, the only possible reason why 3.08s could be easier is they would cause the rear wheels to spin faster. So if you imagine with 4.11s you would be at 5000rpm at like 35-40kph, whereas with 3.08 it might be closer to 60.
I know if i try and start in 2nd gear in the wet i just spin the rear tires but if i start in first i get traction. I guess it depends on the torque of the engine.
With a diesel V8 it might be easier with 3.08s...
Whos knows.
