Hi,
whilst putting my engine cover back on the other day i stupidly managed to break one of the bolts which holds it on... so basically the bolt is snapped with the remaining portion stuck in the nut.
Has this happened to anyone else in the past? how did you handle it?
not a major problem but i just wanna get it sorted..
opinions wanted.
Just leave it. The other 3 will hold it on just fine, it's not worth the hassle of fixing.
Ive snapped 1 on mine b4 they r an easy fix, the bolts just tap through the plenum holes they have their own locking tapper on them. just replace with a new bolt tap it back up through the hole, u'll need a new nut aswell just remember dont over tighten againlol

will it hurt it if i remove all the bolts?
i am going to try and source the replacement parts... and then fix the broken bolt
i got some in my manifolds i'm making basically useless as ttb wont fit under the cover they are splined in and i just knock them out with a hammer better off getting one from the wreckers probably a pick a part or something
id b inclined 2 get brand new threads, 2nd hand u dont know wat they have been through, more then likly they would b stretched already so wouldnt take much 2 probably snap them again. They r only a couple bucks from holden new.
