Default VZ Gaurd Indicator Flutes on VR-VS have they been done before??

    hey all

    just got a question,

I have toyed with the idea of doing VZ Guard Flutes on my VR Stato,

but havnt seen it done, and don't kno if there any problems with wiring old indicators etc.. and what they look like as well..

so if ya have any info post up, n some pics would be great as well.

    cheers

i saw some on an exec and they looked **** even with the kit the guy had on it.
a stato on the other hand might be able to pull it off
i suggest getting yourself another guard and hacking that up , get one of your mates to hold it up to the car as you do with wheels at the wheel shop and see how it looks before you hack your guards.

    good luck

i saw a set of VZ flutes on a VR/S ute. the guy obviously did a home job and it was fked. trained monkeys could do better! he didnt finish them flush, they sat out about 10mm and had a whole tube of no-more-gaps around the edge. he wasted a perfectly good set of flutes and 2 gaurds.

I seen on ebay before that you can get cut out plates that you weld onto the back of the guard so the VZ flutes just bolt straight onto them.

Basically you cut the hole to the same size as the flutes, weld these plates on the inside, then just clip the flutes to the plates.

Ill have a look for ya

oh yeah true, I suppose you could always get the pinstripe carried threw. If its just a single line it shouldnt be that hard for a signwriter to make up

Looking at that picture from egay. I must say they look shocking. The guaurds on the VR/S just arent big enough to pull them off. I dont think a stato will be much different.

But hey if its your thing then go for it, but please for the love of god get it done properlly...otherwise i will send someone over to confiscate your stato. Ive seen the job done half arsed and its not pretty. Do it right or dont do it all as the saying goes.
