Painting The Dash Cluster ??

Hi all,

Im thinking of painting my cluster instead of installing a face plate.
Reason is that the faceplates are predictable and do they even look that good? I dont think they do anyway.

So here is my proposal.

My dash plate is already painted



What do you think?
Will it look better or worse?

Main reason is to highlight the speedo ect.... I think the black being highlighted will look ok?

even just go pull a cluster apart at the wrekers an buy that bit... under $5 guranteed lol

The amazing part is that the wreckers I go to dont charge me for minor parts lol

I picked up the full cigerette lighter, the compartment under the head unit and a few other little bits and pieces the other day for nothing... Its good living in a remote community lol

If its just the part from the cluster theyll give it to me

I done mine about a year ago when i put new globes in the dash. Pretty easy , just pull the cluster out , take of the perspex and it just pulls out

Love the console.... It looks awesome...
How did you paint it? I wanna do something like that to my VS but just not sure what paint.
