LS1 Conversion for VR/VS

hey all

ye just wondering if anyone on here has done a LS1 conversion for a vr/vs

or seen it done, i think a while back there might have been a vr in SC's mag with a gen 3 conv.

just wondering if it worth looking into, over doing a 5ltr conversion..

and yes i'm thinking about this for my statesman so ye..

been covered heaps. cost around the 10 grand mark or somthing stupid like that. just get an ls1 statesman. seen heaps for around the 10-12 mark.

yeh if ur goin to do a conversion like the ls1 as said above will cost u around the 10g's mark....bloody better off buying a newer car with it in ther already... so i wud say a 5L conversion will do if u really wanna keep the VR u hav

Nah seriously, the conversion was puss easy. Took, ooo about 30 seconds for the conversion, then about 5 min to get the light and camera angles

Throw in the ls1 for sure!!
True you can get a later model commy for less but it would be unique & mad as in a vs stato!!
Been thinking about doing this for a while now with my calais, best bet would be to go to the wrecked vehicle auctions and score an ss or something and it should have everything ya need (minus broken parts ect)

If you have the time and money, do an LS1 conversion, even just for something different. There's a few VR/VS's getting around with LS1's, but its still something a bit different.
