    Default new rims/bonnet spray cost

hey guys, just wanted a few opinions/feedback, looking at buying new rims very soon, (for a blk vxII s pac, blk altezza led taillights) inparticular the xhp tuffs or a set of advanti medusas or something similar, will 19"s fit straight onto an 02 vx? Without getting guards rolled or whatever? and how much would i expect for the 17" vx s pac rims in good cond. with bout 80% tread? Also picked up a raw monaro bonnet, how much would i be looking at to get it sprayed?

    1. 19'' rims will fit streight onto the VX (should'nt rub)
    2. 17" VX Spac rims with 80% tread would go for around $300-$600 depending on the condition the rims are in. (gutter rash ect...)
    3. A paint job on the bonet would depend on the paint you choose. (more for metalic ect...) But it will cost around $200-$300.
    Hope this helps

Yeh i had a quote for $550 for the bonnet, thought it was a bit high. And jus saw a set of 16" s pac rims with (90% brigstone tyres sell for $900 thats all (which i also thought was a bit high) Im struggling to decide what rims for my baby now though with the tuffs or medusas, or something with alot more black in them..

that $550 quote is to price themselves out. Either to busy or not interested.

As said it would depend on the paint. If it was to just change the colour, no repairs to it. To do both the inside and outside expect to pay around $350-$400, $400 being you'd get ultimate finish, shame your in melb, Im pretty quiet atm lol

Being black i'd say it would be "phantom", which is a metalic so expect to pay a tiny bit more for the paint as a different system has to be used (clear over base), instead of the normal straight 2 pak. Black is the cheapest colour but being metalic pushes the price up a bit.

dude at work just did a cashie on painting a bonnet and repairing a few dents on a white supra for $400 although it was DG (just colour no clear needed)
but like that helps you much just a idea on a price

also you need to look at,
    -is it primed
-any extra work need to be done ie: fixing pin holes, running sealer along inside edges
    - as banks said paint type, basecoat or DG
    - if its a mica colour it could have pearl in the colour making it more expesive
    - and the Brand of paint

you could pay squat all for a brand like concept and achive a ok quality but if you spend a little more for a brand like glasruit or ppgs deltron range you will find the colour quality and durablity will be much better
also comes down to the sprayer, not every type/brand of paint/clear flows the same and the paint might not be experianced with it
