G'day Ppl,
Does anyone know what the symptoms for WATER in Fuel are?
The car drives fine then at no particular time,
it will loose power and momentum for only about 5-10 Seconds.
Then it is fine for another 5 minutes to .....Geeps, Half an Hour or so.
I am thinking of doing the old Cup of Metho in the fuel Tank.
PS.
What it feels like is as if the Brakes was SLIGHTLY on for those few seconds.
Put my foot down for those few seconds and no differences;
and
NO
I do not have my foot on the Brake Pedal.![]()

umm usually you get water in the fuel from the car sitting for to long and watervapour collects on the top of the tank (newer tanks are sealed and its very rare to get condensation in the tank). if thats the case then just put a full tank in and she'll be right. if its still no good try getting a bottle of Dri-Gas and puting a new fuel filter in.
petrol tanks are not sealed 100%, if there you would have all sorts of fuel delivery problems as the pump would be trying to remove fuel from a space that is under vacuum. not good. all tanks are ventilated to atmosphere. the natural atmosphere has moisture in it. running your fuel tank with the fuel check light on half the time means there's lot of air in there thats carrying moisture, on cold mornings this will condesate inside the tank. full tanks are better.
try some fuel system cleaners. they are designed to remove moisture from fuel systems

Could be contaminated fuel too....
Fill it to the top with the highest octane petrol [e.g. vortex 98]. It worked well for my Vl and gave me 150 extra km's as well :P
