yeah thought i could do that but then im gonna be paintin over the symbols, if i painted em then got another unpainted set and took it to a pin striper could they paint the symbols on then i could just put some clear coat other it? how much do you think this would cost? Would there be a simpler/cheaper way?

Yeah i think painting them yourself is going to be the way to go. before you paint over them perhaps get some tracing paper and trace the symbols and then when you paint trace them on yourself and go over it with a fine brush or something.

uh man that would be so fidely and im real bad at that, i think i remember seeing packs of stickers with no back on them that had all the symbols, if i can find them again i could just paint em white then put the stickers over, then maybe clearcoat so the stickers arnt so raised

Yeah you'll need to find some decals that you can apply after painting. Then give the whole thing a clearcoat so they don't get damaged

just leave it man, it wont look so bad.

i painted my dash fascia white and left the buttons as is.

it would look tacky if the buttons were in white, IMO.

You can pull the symbols off, and just reglue them later.

This pic should explain exactly what i mean. Obviously you will still have black highlights (or grey), but the button as a whole can be painted.

Not sure how to get the cover off, thats just a broken one i got off a forum member here for the globes. Sure a small flat head can do it.

I know there different, but i'm pretty sure the same concept has been used for the VS buttons.

Obviously that doesn't help him with the headlight switch, but atleast the hazards etc

vs is painted over a clear plastic, hence the paint peels off the a/c button etc
