Post Poll: start button or not?

Seen heaps of guides on installing and creating your own start buttons, just wondering if people like em or not?

haha yeah, real "lame" hence why EVERY preformance car over 130k has one... including lambo's, martin's, beamers.... you know, REAL cars!

And no, there not "lame"... my car has one, in fact, it has a missle switch

    haha

totally do it, its the best. Everyone loves it cos its cool... Dont listen to all the typical V8 owners one here who dont like anything that istnt on there "awesome" cars. Seriously, do fun stuff... youll love it.

I wouldnt say just performace cars the current 200sereis Landcrusier has push button start hard to get use too IE no where to put hang the remote or the rest of you keys as there is no barrell or igition switch

Personally i dont like them but again thats my thoughts... Your car do what you feel is right for you....

You mean in the 200 series or the OP i guessing you would still have the barrel there to take the steering lock off but just not turn them to the start pos...

Whihch gets me thinking now bout the 200series it has no barrell or anything on the coloum so i wonder if it has a steering lock

I don't mind them but wouldn't put one on a VY or above. Unless it was big on performance or a V8, in other words, a race car.

i know we're talking about ****pit start buttons (i'm all for it, unless the money could be better spent on something more useful like brakes, aspiration, rubber etc - so, as said above, basically a well set up worthy car). I know that in the new mercs, the car senses when the key is in range (a meter or less when unlocking) and unlocks the door for you as you pull the handle. Likewise, locks when you walk away with the keys. Also don't need to put keys in ignition to push start button... so no matter what, keys dont need to be pulled out of your pocket... hmm, think i might buy a lotto ticket today

Thought i might just add that remote start is cool for warming her up in the morning without having to go outside. Just make sure you remember if you left it in gear or not if you've got a manual... seen someone go to show his off and showed how much of a tool he was instead
