    Default widest tyre on a 20 inch rim

    hey guys i plan on gettin some 20 by 8.5 rims for my vt and just curious to what the widest tyre u can run on them is coz i have 215s on my 15s now and i dont want to just run 225 i want something chunky out the back.
    Any help much appreciated

    think about it.... your 15's are 15x6" which will run 225's, then u go to 7" wide which u can push 235's on... 8" wide u stick with 235's because if u got 20's u'll prob run something skinnier otherwise u'll constantly be scraping/rubbing.......

    yeah had a bit of a look around but didnt find to much, its just that ive seen in mags cars pretty similar runnin fairly big tyres at the rear, were do tey usually scrub the struts or the gaurds??

    235 or 245 is ok. dunno about vt gear. on the vn the guards would need to be rolled and 20's would hit the front struts aswell

    20s will be all over the place without some mods. You're going to want tight tyres on there Just stick 225s on your 15s. I did.

    lol thats a fair effort, nah i wanna get new rims to as my 15s are farkin ugly. i would like 245s i just would like to know what id need to do to get them to fit, i was thinkin coilovers and prob roll the gaurds to
