What to do with old car?

Hey fellas,
Iv'e had my SV6 for about a month now and i think its time to get rid of the old car...it is a 1993 Ford Laser 1.6l auto and has central locking/alarm/immobilizer and i want to sell it to either put the money towards my loan or get an exhaust, rims, air intake, sunroof-theres so much i could do!
But im having trouble deciding what to do, so your advice would be great

I was originally just going to sell it normally with roadworthy and rego etc. however rego is almost up and to get s roadworthy i was quoted $1300 because the guy started saying all this stuff like windscreen, wipers etc. and didn't want to run the risk of not getting my money back so i was considering selling it for about $2k and it would be a cheap car for someone who could fix cars etc. but i don't think anyones biting on that, so im thinking anywhere near $1500 and i'd be happy.

Then i could just wreck the car, but who would buy an engine that old and powerless? And would i get that much money off it?

If anyone has any suggestions, shoot! Im truly stuck

Bring it down to Dandenong and just leave it abandoned on the side of the road. I bet you $10.00 a Sudanese family of 8 will strip it bare and move in .

i think in most cases once cars get to that stage you get the most money by wrecking them if you've ot the patience to wait to get it all back

Ok iv'e decided to just wreck the car, but im not sure of how to do it...ive never done it/known anyone to do it before.
Do just leave the car and sell bits and people come take them out of do i pull it apart myself...how much do you think i could sell the engine for? It's done 186,xxx and runs pretty well...

Just strip it your self and put the good bits on ebay. Get a few mates to throw in some dummy bids even to bump the price up.
or just do what your doing here, put it on a bunch of forums saying wrecking xxxx and guys can ask you for parts.

I hate to bring this back from the dead, but im really struggling to sell the Laser by parts.
Recently my sister has crashed it and resulted in this:



Because i can't seem to wreck it and sell it, im once again thinking of just selling thw whole car to someone for cheap..what do you guys reckon i could for it now? Im not expecting much, but im gonna make sure i get the difference off my sister for what id get if the damage was not there..

Yeah stick it on ebay as a whole...Or wring a scrap metal yard and see what they'll give you, you may get 200 for it. Unfortunatly its a laser and they have bad reps and not many want one, especially a smashed one that just basically halved the price you can get 4 it. See if you can get a few hundred for the engine and trans on ebay maybe and scrap the rest.

Laser's will allways sell for more than the same year Commodore, girls love them and girls have cash . You really should have stuck it on ebay pre crash tho
