Have been doing some research for a mate who has a 5 litre, and he wants to convert to a full gas system. Just curious if anybody has the gas research system on their 5 litre, and whether you have had any problems. just general feedback would be great. cheers
a mate of mine has a gas research kit on his SS, direct gas injection, been on for a while now and he never bothered to go back for the first service (Which he effing should have done) he gets around 350 k's out of an 80 ltr tank flogging it as hard as he can as much as he can, what can I say some of my mates are twits.
as far as I know it's been pretty good.
a mate of mine has a 308 in a 1950 ford customline ute, has a blown 7th cyl, rusted bore from a blown head gasket not been fixed quick enough,
it runs straight gas with a lumpy cam, goes great, no issues > besides having a lumpy as F*** idle from the dead cylinder and cam

yea well i would definately be going with straight gas, none of that dual fuel crap. andyman, did the cylinder and the head gasket crap themselves because of the gas system?
Engine builder who I have been talking to about a 355 for my VK recommended direct gas injection.. Guy knows his stuff too..
